Hidden Faces

 

When Auguste Rodin saw Edward Steichen's photographs of his famous sculpture of Balzac taken by moonlight, he thought, "These photographs are a work of art in themselves."

 

This is also the emotion that comes to mind when I contemplate the work “Faces Hidden” by photographer Claude Gauthier. This collection of photographs gathered in a large format book makes this production a work of art in itself.
